Welcome to Biorhythm 2‚Ñ¢. This help file is designed to provide basic
help and not as a substitute for the manual. Please consult the manual
for additional help in using this program.
There are theorized to be three biorhythm cycles in our lives. These
cycles are:
• PHYSICAL - 23 Days
Influences a broad range of factors such as; strength, body
functions, coordination, physiology, speed, resistance to
illness, and physical well being.
• EMOTIONAL - 28 Days
Influences mental health, mood, creativity, sensitivity, moods,
and our perception of ourselves and the world.
• MENTAL - 33 Days
Influences the logical and analytical functions of the mind,
alertness, receptivity to learning, and memory.
These cycles start (on a positive cycle) with our birth and continue
with their different rates. They will not coincide again at the graph
baseline for 58+ years. Thus we are influenced with mixed rhythms
throughout our lives.
Biorhythm theory suggests that energies and abilities associated with
the cycle are positive when above the line and are negative when below
the line. Critical days or potentially unstable days are when the plot
crosses the line!
Because individuals and the environment are such important factors in
our lives, the individual interpretation of biorhythm charts will never
be a science.

••• DATA ENTRY •••
Data can be directly entered into the proper data fields or you can
use the list of names to enter data. Names must be limited to 20
characters in length. Months must be whole numbers from 1 to 12. Days
must be whole numbers from 1 to 31. Years must be whole numbers from
1 to 9,999. To use the list select a name from the list and use the
"Put" button to enter the data into the proper fields. You may also
double-click on the name to enter the data into the first set of data
fields. To enter data into the second set of data fields in this way,
hold down the "Option" key and double click on the chosen name. Leap
years are always included in Biorhythm 2‚Ñ¢ calculations.
••• USING LISTS •••
Lists of names up to 1,000 names long may be used. The number of
lists you can use is limited by your storage device. New lists can be
created using the List menu. Names can be added to the current active
list by entering data into one of the sets of data fields and using
the "Add" button to insert the name into the list. Lists are
automatically sorted. See the manual for importing names from databases
and further information on lists. The program uses the list titled
"The List" if no other file is used to start Biorhythm 2‚Ñ¢.
••• CALCULATING THE BIORHYTHMS •••
If you have entered data into one or both sets of data fields, you
can calculate the biorhythm cycles using the Calculate menu. You
must have data entered into both sets of data fields to compare the
biorhythm cycles of two individuals. Both birth dates must be before
the forecast date. A dialog box will appear if you have made a data
entry error.
••• STATISTICS •••
The information shown when you calculate the biorhythm cycles
includes: 1) The Name. 2) The date of birth. 3) The day of the week
of birth. 4) The number of days from birth to the forecast date. (5
The number of years from birth to the forecast date. 6) The status of
the cycles on the forecast date (Positive, Negative, or Critical).
If you have chosen to compare two individual biorhythm cycles you will
also be presented with the statistics of compatibility of the two
individuals. This calculates the percentage of time the individual
cycles are in the same phase of the cycle. A number like 56% would
mean that the two cycles are simultaneously in the positive or
negative phases of the cycles 56 percent of the time.
••• PLOTS •••
Plots can be for one or both individuals. You can choose to plot any
single cycle or all three. The Options menu allows you to choose a
longer plot. Double clicking on an area in the extended plot mode will
replot the cycles in the normal 31 day mode, beginning with the
approximate date you clicked on, for more accurate viewing. Plot
windows can be resized and relocated on the screen. Plots can be
saved in several popular PICT formats. The scroll bar at the
bottom of the screen can be used to move the plot date forward or
backward. You may also use the left and right arrow keys for
moving forward or backward one day at a time.
••• CALENDARS •••
Biorhythm 2‚Ñ¢ can create calendars of any month with or without the
biorhythm cycles appearing on each day. The current forecast month
is the calendar that will be created. Graphics can be included in the
tall oriented calendars. The plots you create can automatically be
included as graphics on your calendars or you can us Paint or PICT
files. Graphics can be cropped or scaled. The Calendars can be saved
in several popular PICT formats. You can print the current forecast
month or select to print a full year or a range of months.
••• PREFERENCES •••
Two Preferences screens allow you to choose several options for plotting,
saving calendars and plots, and creating calendars. You may not save the
preferences changes in the Demo version of Biorhythm 2‚Ñ¢.
